keeping syrian and Palestinian refugees warm this winter

posted onNovember 4, 2017

Hope is what we try to provide the people we serve. The hardest part is when you see a child's face that has no hope for a better tomorrow

This child's name is Mustafa

His facial expression I can't forget
his eyes so full of sadness. I was in a van in elghor Amman providing medical care to patients and it began raining I ran inside the van for cover. I looked out and saw mustafa in the rain no shoes on standing in mud and holding a soaked bread and looking at me way. It hurt me deeply to a 4 year child like this I began to see my nieces and nephews in him. When people ask me why do I do this I tell them because there is too many Mustafa's and I can't get their faces out of my head and they draw me back because this look is yelling at me to help them

I was inspired to do this work by a 7 years old boy from gaza his name is waseem
He was born with a congenital deformity that left him unable to walk he came to Washington state and stayed with me for 6 months. Waseem was from a refugee camp in gaza and lived in a tent with his family. He changed my life he taught me so many things

I gave him hope and I should him support and with that after all his obstacles he faced he is now walking for the first time in his life in gaza

He inspired to go to refugee camps and I did and there is where i got the idea of opening clinics in the camps and providing medical dental and humanitarian aid to these people who are in need

I have been lucky I have had people from all over the world reach out to me and join me on our mission
Places like Spain, Italy, Egypt, emirate, Americans, Ethiopians, Palestinians, Jordanian, Lebanese, and so on
We have had 8 successful missions
In Palestine Jordan and Lebanon

In these mission we have helped with chronic conditions, found cancers in people who have never seen a doctor and other serious medical conditions

My next medical mission is at the end of November 2017. The goal is to provide winter supplies like jackets, coats, blankets and food baskets to help keep syrian and Palestine refugees warm this winter.

Our goal is today to help provide winter cloths and supplies to Palestinian and Syrian families
Winter is harsh and they need these items to make
